Engineering is Elementary
The Engineering is Elementary (EiE) project aims to foster engineering and technological literacy among children. EiE is creating a research-based, standards-based, and classroom-tested curriculum that integrates engineering and technology concepts and skills with elementary science topics. EiE materials also connect with literacy, social studies, and mathematics. Through interesting engineering design challenges children are invited to apply their knowledge of science, engineering, and their problem solving skills, as they design, create, and improve possible solutions.

The Engineering is Elementary project also helps elementary school educators enhance their understanding of engineering concepts and pedagogy through professional development workshops and resources.

Engineering Pathway
We invite you to Learn, Connect, and Create with high-quality teaching and learning resources in applied science and math, engineering, computer science/information technology, and engineering technology for use by K-12 and university educators and students.

LASER Teacher Toolkits - Elementary
Washington State Leadership and Assistance for Science Education Reform (LASER) is part of the National Science Resources Center's (NSRC) LASER Center funded in part by the National Science Foundation (NSF). Our program is centered on the use of NSRC's Strategic Planning Institute that has been offered to school districts across the country since 1989. The Strategic Planning Institutes help school districts implement research-based science instructional materials. Many of these school districts have become models of successful implementation for the rest of the country. The instructional materials implemented and the professional development used is based on the best research available regarding the qualities of a successful science education program.

TryEngineering - Manufacturing Engineering
TryEngineering.org is a resource for students (ages 8-18), their parents, their teachers and their school counselors. This is a portal about engineering and engineering careers with hopes hope it will help young people understand better what engineering means, and how an engineering career can be made part of their future.
